The V @ Wheaton is a proposed high-rise, mixed-use multifamily residential redevelopment in downtown Wheaton, Maryland. The “V” is named for its position at the point where two lines, Georgia Avenue and Viers Mill Road, meet to form a V. “V” also indicates that the project has a high visibility location. It will enhance the vitality of Downtown Wheaton while maximizing the value to investors. Located within Westfield Wheaton Mall, the site is a short walk to the Wheaton Metro station and an array of bus lines. The development will comprise of up to 375,075 SF of construction, including 283,275 SF of 15-story multi-family residential space, a 40,000 SF two-story fitness center, and 51,800 SF of ground-floor retail space. A one level underground garage will provide 166 parking spaces for commercial use and a three level above ground garage will provide 255 parking spaces for residential use.
